Oil Paintings on Canvas

About the Majestic Creatures

The Majestic Creatures are reflections of the way I felt, during different phases of my life. Each animal is a mirror—reflecting not just the natural world, but a vast spectrum of human emotion. This series of oil paintings are my way of translating feeling into form, and instinct into expression. Every brushstroke is a quiet conversation between spirit and subject.

The bear roars with anger! The Giant Squid pulls me into a deep dark depression. The Alpaca beams with joy, while the fox lounges in serenity. The shark slices through fear. The Highland cow radiates happiness. The Ibex climbs with courage. The White Peacock offers peace, the Blue Peacock basks in vanity. The purple Peacock, a reflection of narcissism.                                     Each creature tells a story—some bold, others whispered—but all are steeped in the emotional truths that unite us.

I paint to quiet my mind. And yet, through this stillness, I hope to inspire others to find a way to be in the present moment often. These animals are majestic not only in their form, but in the depth of feeling they carry. I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and feel alongside them.

Artist Statement – Chad Creasy

I am an American artist with over 35 years of experience exploring a wide range of artistic mediums. Over time, I discovered that painting—specifically oil painting—was my true passion and chosen form of expression.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and graphic design  from the Atlanta College of Art. I continued my studies in figure painting through public art classes. For more than a decade, I’ve worked intensively in my home studio, constantly experimenting and refining my techniques in oil.

Alongside my fine art practice, I have worked full-time as a graphic artist for over 20 years. This experience has sharpened my eye for composition, color, and detail—skills that naturally carry over into my painting. Balancing both disciplines has given me a unique perspective and a versatile creative toolkit.

My work has received recognition, including the Best Two-Dimensional Piece award at the Spruill Gallery in Atlanta for my White Peacock painting and my Giant Squid painting. I’ve also maintained a steady flow of commissioned work, which continues to motivate me to evolve and elevate my art.

In addition to creating, I teach painting at the Spruill Center for the Arts, offering instruction for both beginner and advanced students. I also produce instructional videos on my YouTube channel, Paint Good with Chad, where I share techniques and insights to help inspire emerging artists. Teaching and connecting with others through art brings me deep joy, and I’m passionate about passing on what I’ve learned.
